New York City, NY – The legendary Hip Hop DJ, Radio Personality and now Event Producer, Kool DJ Red Alert is set to launch a new event series in Harlem called “Let’s Connect - A Biz w/ Pleasure Networking Experience”. The event series will take place the first Thursday of each month starting on July 6th 2017 at MIST Harlem, located at 46 W 116th Street. Presented by City National Bank, a Black owned and operated financial institution with a branch in Harlem, Let’s Connect will connect professionals, entrepreneurs and cultural influencers in a sleek and cozy atmosphere where they can meet and greet other movers and shakers, and learn from thought leaders and influencers while dining and dancing.

“I decided to produce this event and use my brand to bring people together for a positive and productive experience”, says Red Alert. “By partnering with MIST,” he continues, “I’m able to connect people in a great space and allow them to meet, greet, dance, drink and eat while networking and enjoying themselves. The support of City National Bank allows us to present a great event but at the same time give people the ability to learn more about a great Black owned financial institution located right here in Harlem and establish their own bank accounts and take advantage of what they have to offer.”
Let’s Connect will kick off at 5:00 PM with DJ Taela Naomi, crowned “Best Uptown DJ” after winning the prestigious Uptown Battle of the Bars competition. At 7:00 PM, the event will showcase a segment called “Harlem BizTalks” which will feature a Guest Influencer in the areas of entertainment, finance, and business. The first Guest Influencer will be “Uncle” Ralph McDaniels, the Hip Hop Icon, who established Video Music Box, the longest running TV series showcasing Hip Hop and R&B music videos. Now co-producing the movie “Roxanne Roxanne” a Bio Pic based on the life of rapper Roxanne Shante, Ralph will speak on “Video Music Box Live - True Stories.” At 8:00 the Koolest Legend, DJ Red Alert, will provide the musical soundtrack that will allow everyone to continue networking while having a good time. Promising to give attendees a night to remember every first Thursday, Red Alert says simply, “bring your business cards by all means, but be prepared to have the time of your life.”

The Hip Hop Hall of Fame + Museum is proud to announce The Official Hip Hop Hall of Fame Awards TV Show returns to its Harlem roots with its ‘2017 Inductee’ Press Conference scheduled for Wednesday June 21st, 2017 at Sylvia’s Restaurant in Harlem at 11am. The Press Conference and Old School Brunch will feature hip hop pioneers and legends being named for the 2017 Inductee Class by their peers, and feature some Community Service and Appreciation Awards presentations by the Hip Hop Hall of Fame Museum to community and educational leaders. The legendary Sylvia’s Restaurant is located on Lenox Ave in Between 126th and 127th Streets in Harlem. Brunch will be served to the RSVP guests immediately after the Inductee announcements.

The Official Hip Hop Hall of Fame Awards TV Show returns to New York City on Friday September 15, 2017 with Red Carpet and VIP Mixer at 6pm and Showtime begins at 8 pm for The 20th Anniversary Induction Ceremony & Concert. The show will be taped live for national television broadcast at a later date. Tickets will go on-sale Friday June 23rd online at The Hip Hop Hall of Fame Museum’s Official website http://hiphophof.org . Radio Promotional Campaign will begin last week of June. The pre-show red carpet and week of activities events will also be made available via live stream. Veteran TV Producer-Director Matt Smith from Rap City, and BET Gospel is set to produce this year’s show, and he will be joined by former Bad Boy Hitmen Music Producer, now LIU Music Professor Tony Dofat who will serve as Music Director. The show will be Executive Produced by show Creator and Founder of Hip Hall of Fame Museum JT Thompson, working along side Co-Producers Brad Flewellen, Kenny ‘DJ Lord Yoda X’ Syder, Daniel ‘Geechie’ Chamberlayne, and Jeffrey ‘Big Jeff’ Boyd who are all actively engaging celebrities and industry trendsetters.
